Mapping and status labels

Columns you can map

• Status (required).
• Date or timeline (required).
• Client action, a text column for what the customer needs to do.
• Files, for documents you want to publish.

Columns you cannot map

Columns whose names look internal: note, comment, cost, price, margin, budget, fee, internal, rebate, or salary. If the guess is wrong, rename the column in your tool.

Status labels

Tell Signal what each label in your tool means. Labels you do not map show as “awaiting confirmation”. Signal never guesses that something is done.

Progress and versions

With progress on, every step counts the same and only finished steps count. Each saved mapping is a version. Rolling back pauses automatic updates until someone presses Sync, so nothing publishes from a mapping nobody checked.
